Hair extensions Bury
Thanks for visiting the website of Extra Length - home of the finest hair extension service for people in Bury
The technique we use for hair extensions is called braid weaving and we use 100% Remy human hair.
At Extra Length, we use Remy Human Hair - this is hair that is kept with cuticles running in the same direction so that it does not knot, matt or tangle any more than your own hair.
What is Braid Weaving?
First the hair is plaited horizontally to the scalp and then wefts (rows) of hair are sewn onto the plaits. There are usually two or three rows depending on the length of the natural hair.
You can find further information on our Hair Extensions page.

Lace front wigs Bury
In addition to hair extensions, we also provide lace front wigs, also known as lace front units. Lace front wigs are 100% INDIAN Remy Hair (cuticle hair) hand-tied to a lace base so that it looks as if hair is actually growing out of your head. No one would ever know if you are wearing a wig. The wig is more comfortable and more natural than a hard front wig. These wigs are versatile and can be cut to suite your style.

- People suffering from alopecia, thinning hair and bald patches can wear lace units, and many of our clients have found great success with these units.

Hair weaves in Bury
When wearing a weave the hair can be washed and conditioned as normal - just take extra care when doing around the tracks (plaits) so that you don't put too much stress on them as this can cause them to loosen.
Weaves look more subtle than bonded extensions as there is nothing really to see. As the name suggests, the hair is weaved to your own hair in a natural way.
