Hair extensions Tyldesley
Congratulations. You have found the website of Extra Length - the best hair extension service for people in Tyldesley
The technique we use at Extra Length is Braid Weaving. Braid Weaving is a permanent technique that can be worn indefinitely.
The results that can be achieved with hair extensions are endless. Longer, thicker, fuller hair; highlights; lowlights; even fantasy colours.
What is Braid Weaving?
First the hair is plaited horizontally to the scalp and then wefts (rows) of hair are sewn onto the plaits. There are usually two or three rows depending on the length of the natural hair.
You can find further information on our Hair Extensions page.

Lace front wigs Tyldesley
In addition to hair extensions, we also provide lace front wigs, also known as lace front units. Lace front wigs are 100% INDIAN Remy Hair (cuticle hair) hand-tied to a lace base so that it looks as if hair is actually growing out of your head. No one would ever know if you are wearing a wig. The wig is more comfortable and more natural than a hard front wig. These wigs are versatile and can be cut to suite your style.
- Lace Wigs are handmade and designed for extended undetectable wear. Unlike regular wigs, lace wigs offer seamless blending at the front or along the entire perimeter of the head.
- Lace front units can be made either entirely of lace or with a lace front and stretch cap back. Entire lace units are more prone to damage due to the delicacy of the lace.

Hair weaves in Tyldesley
Weaves have an advantage over other methods of hair extensions. Weaves give more fullness than bonded extensions and will not fall out like bonds can.
When wearing a weave the hair can be washed and conditioned as normal - just take extra care when doing around the tracks (plaits) so that you don't put too much stress on them as this can cause them to loosen.
