Hair extensions Newton Wood
Welcome to Extra Length; the best hair extension service for people in Newton Wood
All of the hair we use at Extra Length is natural 100% human Remy hair. It's the best hair available.
The hair extension technique we use is weaving. Weaves look more subtle than bonded extensions as there is nothing really to see.
What is Braid Weaving?
First the hair is plaited horizontally to the scalp and then wefts (rows) of hair are sewn onto the plaits. There are usually two or three rows depending on the length of the natural hair.

Lace front wigs Newton Wood
In addition to hair extensions, we also provide lace front wigs, also known as lace front units. Lace front wigs are 100% INDIAN Remy Hair (cuticle hair) hand-tied to a lace base so that it looks as if hair is actually growing out of your head. No one would ever know if you are wearing a wig. The wig is more comfortable and more natural than a hard front wig. These wigs are versatile and can be cut to suite your style.
- We generally recommend Swiss Lace front units. Swiss Lace is more fragile than French lace but strong enough if handled carefully. It is the least detectable but also very delicate. Swiss lace needs to be handled with care and first time users need to be aware of its delicacy.
- Lace front units can be worn by absolutely anyone. Lace units are a fabulous way to change your look or just have a new hair style without having to undergo any growing, colouring or styling.

Hair weaves in Newton Wood
Because no glue or keratin is needed with a hair weave, hair weaves are thought to be better for the hair than bonded extensions as it a more natural process.
Hair Weaving is cheaper than many other types of hair extension techniques because the process is not as time consuming as bonded extensions.
