Hair extensions Middlewood

Thanks for visiting the website of Extra Length - home of the finest hair extension service for people in Middlewood

The results that can be achieved with hair extensions are endless. Longer, thicker, fuller hair; highlights; lowlights; even fantasy colours.

At Extra Length, we use Remy Human Hair - this is hair that is kept with cuticles running in the same direction so that it does not knot, matt or tangle any more than your own hair.

What is Braid Weaving? First the hair is plaited horizontally to the scalp and then wefts (rows) of hair are sewn onto the plaits. There are usually two or three rows depending on the length of the natural hair.

You can find further information on our Hair Extensions page.

Lace front wigs Middlewood

In addition to hair extensions, we also provide lace front wigs, also known as lace front units. Lace front wigs are 100% INDIAN Remy Hair (cuticle hair) hand-tied to a lace base so that it looks as if hair is actually growing out of your head. No one would ever know if you are wearing a wig. The wig is more comfortable and more natural than a hard front wig. These wigs are versatile and can be cut to suite your style.

  • We generally recommend Swiss Lace front units. Swiss Lace is more fragile than French lace but strong enough if handled carefully. It is the least detectable but also very delicate. Swiss lace needs to be handled with care and first time users need to be aware of its delicacy.
  • With a lace front unit, the lace is trimmed to create the illusion of hair coming out of your hairline. There is no damage to your natural hair, nor any need to use any chemicals.

Hair weaves in Middlewood

Weaves have an advantage over other methods of hair extensions. Weaves give more fullness than bonded extensions and will not fall out like bonds can.

After having a weave, take care when drying the hair. Pulling downwards will put stress on the hair and the tracks and cause looseness and possible breakage. The best way to dry the hair is to just blow over it with the hairdryer without using a brush or
