Hair extensions Brindle Heath
Extra Length provides a professional and reliable hair extension service for people in Brindle Heath
The technique we use for hair extensions is called braid weaving and we use 100% Remy human hair.
The hair extension technique we use is weaving. Weaves look more subtle than bonded extensions as there is nothing really to see.
What is Braid Weaving?
First the hair is plaited horizontally to the scalp and then wefts (rows) of hair are sewn onto the plaits. There are usually two or three rows depending on the length of the natural hair.

Lace front wigs Brindle Heath
In addition to hair extensions, we also provide lace front wigs, also known as lace front units. Lace front wigs are 100% INDIAN Remy Hair (cuticle hair) hand-tied to a lace base so that it looks as if hair is actually growing out of your head. No one would ever know if you are wearing a wig. The wig is more comfortable and more natural than a hard front wig. These wigs are versatile and can be cut to suite your style.
- The lace used in lace front wigs is French lace or Swiss Lace. French lace is less fragile than Swiss lace, but still needs to be handled with great care.
- If cared for properly, a lace front wig will last between 8 and 12 months, with minor repairs. You can wear them for 1 day or up to 3 weeks before removing, shampooing and reinstalling. Your head has to be measured before your unit can be made to ensure a superb and undetectable fit.

Hair weaves in Brindle Heath
When wearing a weave the hair can be washed and conditioned as normal - just take extra care when doing around the tracks (plaits) so that you don't put too much stress on them as this can cause them to loosen.
When you have had a hair weave, always thoroughly rinse around the tracks to ensure all shampoo and conditioner traces are gone as it is easy to miss some and if it is left in it can cause itching and a flaky effect.
